Can anyone advise?

It is unclear what the problem is. Is it a camera problem or a computer problem?

Couldn't be a camera problem; the camera has nothing to do with loading the solution disk.
The first thing to do is to make suer that the monitor is set to its maximum resolution. If that doesn't help, see if the graphics card's parameters are properly set.
Otherwise, drop back ten yards and punt.

I agree, but it sure seems that he is trying to run the solution disk on the camera.
(Many of our more expensive instruments have 'PC's' inside, so you *can* run software on them.)
