problem with Canon PRO 4000

DejanKalezic
Contributor

I am a photographer from Montenegro.

I have a printer Canon PRO4000 and I have had a problem with it for the

past couple of months. We are a small country and we do not have any

kind of service support here and because of the global pandemic it is

impossible for a foreign service to come and help me fix it. The

problem with the printer is the ink keeps running out really fast and

the printer is showing that the cartridge is empty. I already replaced

2 that I had I opened the back of the machine and found the ink in a

subtank which is underneath the cartridge. It is an MBK on the left

and a PC on the right side, I cleaned all the parts and replaced the

ink but the same thing happened again. Does anyone know what could be the

problem because all the parts seem to be okay?

If anyone has a similar experience or know anything about this, I would be very

 grateful for yours help!

 Thank you in advance,

Hi DejanKalezic,

If we could get a little more information, we may be able to assist you with this issue:

What operating system is installed on your computer?

What application are you using to print your photos?

Who is the manufacturer of your paper?  What paper type is it?

How many photos have been printed and what size were they?

Dear,

My operating system is Windows 10, i usually print using Photoshop CC 2017, the paper I use is mostly Canon ( Canon Satin 240g, Canon Glacier 300g, Canon High Res Barrier and FineArt HahneMuhle and Rauch Canvas 340g). I do not know the exact number because I am not near my machine right now but approximately 500m2 and I print photos from the A4 format to 1x2m format. I use 42inch and 44inch rolls as well as sheets.

I would be very grateful If you manage to find the soultion to my problem.

Best Regards

Hello.

Perform a Status Print from the unit and provide us with a picture or scan of the error or warning details in the Usage Condition section.  Details on how to print this can be found at THIS LINK.
