this is the third time this has happened .
only the copy button is lit and if you push other buttons (scan,fax,direct print) it will not light up or do the Functions.
it's hooked up thru the network . When hooking it up by usb is the same thing .

Hi felician,
The unit may just need to be reset in order to resolve this issue. Please unplug the power to the unit for ten minutes then plug it back in and power back on the machine. Additionally, try plugging the unit directly into the wall outlet as opposed to a surge protector or power strip.

The printer is in Energy Saver mode. Press the lighted Energy Saver button, the light will turn off; the function buttons will all be lit.
