macbook pro wont recognize imageclass driver

I recently got a used imageclass MF632.  I am trying to use it on my Macbook Pro running Yosemite.  (10.10.5)

I have downloaded and installed the driver umpteen times,  but the print dialogue box does not sho any printer, Preferences does not show a printer, and Add a printer in preferences does not recognize that I hvae installed the driver yet, either.  in otherwords,  the computer thinks there is no priter driver installed at all.

what do I do. the only work around Ive been able to do, is that my ipad recognizes the pritner,  so I vahe to upload my files to the cloud and them pritn them from the the ipad,  but this is too inconvenient. and I should be able to print directly from the macbook pro.

why can't i? why wont the comuter recognize the driver?

Hi Derek6193,

How is the printer connected to the computer? Check your computer's security settings and, if installed, security software to ensure the data over USB or WiFi isn't being blocked, metered, or limited. For help with settings in Mac OS, refer to Apple support (non-Canon link: https://support.apple.com)
