imageCLASS MF753Cdw won't print without choosing "LTR/Plain 2" option

Cannon MR753Cdw   after working just fine for months, several weeks ago I started getting an error message on the printer screen every time I printed a page.  That message was "Load Paper Drawer 1 LTR/Plain 1".  There was only one lighted option on the screen "LTR/Plain 2".  Pushing that causes the print job to actually print.

However, every time I want to print something, I need to go through this -- get up, walk to the printer, push the "LTR/Plain 2" option, get my print job, and then do the same thing every time I print something.

BUT this only happens with my Windows computers.  Printing from the Mac ==> no error message at all.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am getting the same problem with my MF753CDW.  It works fine if I print from my phone but if I print from the PC I have to get up and press the LTR/Plain 2 on the screen to force it to print. It seems like it is defaulting to a manual feeder suddenly. I tried changing the print properties in paper/quality to Auto, Multipurpose Tray, and Tray 1 but it doesn't change the behavior.  It was working fine for months before.

If you have to confirm the paper type/size on the display to start the printing, it usually means the incorrect printer driver is being used. You can try reinstalling the current version of the Windows driver from our site using the link HERE. It will be at the top of the list and will have Recommended written above it.

If reinstalling the drivers did not resolve the issue, you can also check the paper settings for the tray you have the paper loaded into. Make sure it matches the paper size(letter) and type (plain 2) that you are selecting in the print window on the computer.
