Printer & scanner have been working for a couple years.  Recently upgraded desktop PC HDD to a SSD. Therefore a fresh Win11 install. All apps & data was stored on OneDrive, so no changes to what had been used.  Printer did a BIOS upgrade.  Installed s/w .  Printer work just fine. Scanner won't connect, though the PC is shown in the list when asking to scan to computer.  Same whether initiated from PC or from Printer.  Tried to install as a USB connected printer/scanner - never completed.  Ethernet or wifi fails same way.  Need some ideas or a solution.  Installed on laptop also & get same failure.  Double checked for current drivers and yes.

Have 3 PC's here, 2 laps, 1 desk.  All 3 already had the 24h2 update already installed (12/10/24).  None will connect to the Canon scanner (printing is fine). I also removed the 24H2 and tried scanner - no-go.Canon scanner connect (1).pngCanon scanner connect (2).pngCanon scanner connect (3).png

Uninstalled win update, re-installed it.  Uninstalled the canon drivers & re-installed.  No change in symptoms

Curious is that we also have a monochrome "Brother" printer/scanner. 1 laptop will scan when initiated from the printer, but not from the PC. Neither of the other 2 will connect to the Brother either.

Both printer/scanners had been working with the 3 PC's for quite some time. The desk & 1 laptop were recently refreshed software wise - fresh win11 & apps re-installed.
