Color Laser printer, model MF656Cdw, less than a year old, is making a whirring/grinding noise when printing. It gets louder as the paper is being processed, then becomes somewhat softer as it nears the end. I have an MP3 audio recording of it, but don't see a way to attach it here.

Greetings,
Sorry to hear of your issue. I have a MF656Cdw I've been happy with. The printer has a 3 yr warranty. Please register your device in the MyCanon portal and contact support. I'm sure they can help.

Thank you. The unit is already registered. I'll try the MyCanon portal/support. Thought this might be faster.

There may be some paper stuck in the transport mechanism. Take out the toner cartridges and look. Also check where the paper enters and exits the printer.

Thank you. There is no paper jam and the copies come out fine, it's just the noise that concerns me.
