The last time I replaced the toner cartridges in my Canon Color ImageCLASS MF632Cdw, I thought I'd save money by buying third-party toner instead of genuine Canon toner.
My printouts were fine at first but after a while they started looking worse and worse. I eventually replaced just the black toner with genuine Canon toner and the black parts of my prints were immediately perfect, as they have remained for many months.
Meanwhile, the color parts of my prints were continuing to get worse. I'm here to ask if you think the third-party toner is causing the ugliness in the attached graphics, or if it could be something else. I could buy genuine C, M, & Y Canon toner if necessary -- but it's SO expensive!
I've gone to the Maintenance screen on the printer and went through the Clean Fixing Assembly, the Clean ITB, and the Clean Feeder procedures more than once (although today several attempts trying the Clean Feeder procedure did nothing).
Here are two dual graphics: the first half of each graphic is the original file and the second half is a scan of the printout of those files:
#1 • Original file, then my printout
#2 • Original file, then my printout
Since I bought the printer (new) about 7-1/2 years ago, it seems to be that I've only printed 2,290 pages.
Many thanks!
