I have a MF644C printer. I installed a new Canon 054 black toner cartridge in July, 2021. I estimate that I have made no more than 700 copies since the installation. I am receiving a message that the black cartridge needs replacement. The toner level for the black cartridge shows 0%. This makes no sense. Approximately how may copies should I get per black cartridge? Can the cartridge level be reset?
You would not be able to reset the toner level for the cartridge. The Canon toner cartridges have a chip in them that track toner usage and if the counter has reached 0, you would not be able to change the info since the cartridge can't detect new toner added.
