I have two of these MF devices attached to two different computers running Windows 11, both connected via a wired network (but on different networks).
On one, everything works OK.
On the other, the scanner works OK when using the Canon supplied scanning software. However, when using Paperport (which also uses the TWAIN driver), when trying to scan, the program will freeze with an hourglass showing as if it cannot connect, and the only way out is to shut the program down with Task Manager.
Since it works on one computer and not the other, I'm thinking there is some configuration issue, but I cannot figure out what it is.
Has anyone run across this (and have a fix)?
By the way, if, in Paperport, I choose to use the native scanner dialog, Scangear will open. In scan gear, I can "Preview". But if I select "Scan" noting happens and, as above, the only exit path is by stopping the process using Task Manager.
