Re: Printer Wont Connect To My Chromebook

MamaBear9476

I can't seem to connect my HP Chromebook to my MB2020. I can get my phone to connect but not my laptop. Any suggestions? My Chromebook sees the printer but it doesn't have the right specifics and needs manual input. I can't find the info to put that in. The info on the back of the printer isn't what it's looking for. Help!

Hello,

Canon printers used to connect to Chromebooks via Google Cloud Print. With Google Cloud print being unsupported you can try adding the printer via the Google Native printing system. If your printer is on the same network as your Chromebook, please try the following:

1.Connect the printer to the same router as your Chromebook.
2.Add the printer to your Chromebook.

a. Select Settings.
 b. At the bottom, select Advanced.
 c. Under "Printing," select Printers.
 d. Under "Available printers to save," next to your printer, select Save.
 e. Check that your printer appears at the top, under "Saved printers."
