Professional Print and Layout doesn't find computer

I've had problems with this software since day one. Works then doesn't. Can't add or delete printer. One computer works fine. The other worked then stopped. Keep getting the error message. Add printer with manual ip address. Then it doesn't show up in the program. Can't delete the old ip address. Then i get it added and won't print... error see printer panel. Web ui works fine. Why can't the program find the printer on one computer and not the others?

What model Canon printer do you own?

 

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?

If you are using a Mac, what version of OS X is installed?

Windows 10 home. Prograf 4100pro.

Changing paper type is also difficult. Many times I don't get the option for changing to/from sheet to roll. Occasionally it just pops up. Sometimes it doesn't. Not sure why it's so difficult. Then, the preview window won't show the correct size paper and I can't find out how to change it.

Please make sure that you are selecting the size and type of paper that is loaded using the Operation Panel on your printer:

Next, please select that paper in your printer driver:

If paper is not appearing, please update your printer and printer driver using the Media Configuration Tool:
