My computer stopped being able to communicate to the wirelessprinter. It worked in the past. I have checked IP addresses but still get the message the printer is not connected. It does show the printer in system prefs and it is selected as my default printer. I am on a Macintosh running OS X Yosemite.
The printer is on and status monitor says it's ready to go. It is the Canon MF8300C.

Hi inkwellpro.
I will be able to assist you. However, I would like to ask a few questions so that we can isolate the issue.
1. What is the IP address of the printer?
2. Did you perform any updates to the Mac OS X operating system around the time that the error first occurred?
I look forward to your reply with the information I have requested. Should you need immediate assistance with this issue, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).
