MF734cdw printer - plastic piece packed with printer?

There is a piece of plastic that came with the printer but I can't find anything explaining what it is for.  It is shown in the Getting Started Guide, in the upper right-hand corner on page 2.  It seems like it will snap into place somewhere but I cannot figure out where.  Can anyone tell me what this is for?

For identification, It might be helpful if you could post a picture of the part. 

Here is my best guess.  Pull the lower paper cassette out as if you were going to load it with legal size paper.  Now see if the part fits as a dust cover for the extended tray.
