MF644C displaying colored vertical lines on back side of page for all scanned documents

Every time a document is scanned the back side shows these colored lines.

The issue looks like a loose connection to the scanner element or the scanner bar is damaged. In a situation like this the scanner needs service. You can check your service options by contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666 or logging into your MyCanon account.
