When performing a maintenance test print, my printer prints perfect clog and alignment results. However, when printing real documents, there is a vertical distortion on the left side of the print. I've included an image to show the problem. Is this a print head issue? I've performed numerous head clearing and alignment cycles but the issue persists. Why do test prints show that there's no issue when real prints do?

Hello,
The image looks like there is grease or ink on the printer's encoder strip. The mark on the encoder strip should be on the left where the line is appearing. You can use the steps in the link HERE to clean the encoder strip.
