MF3010 not printing, only ejecting blank sheets, no test page results either

Hello, I recently got the mf3010, after some initial troubleshooting with the scanner and printer I was finally able to use both successfully.  Today I tried to print a page after not using the print function for about 2 weeks and the printer starts up and only sends out a blank page ~ 15 attempts later and still no printed page, only blank sheet of paper.  When I tried a test page 2x both were also blank.  Scanner is operational. 

I am connected via usb, windows 11 no error message a "P" is showing in the display.  I used the first button on the left (asterisk in a speech bubble?) icon and set it to "1" and still the same results.  I still have the Canon 125 starter toner cartridge in but only printed about 7 pages since I got set up.  I have powered it off and on, unplugged and replugged into the outlet, tried everything I can think of.  

What am I missing?  How do I check the toner level, I see from another post that you need to check via computer - can I have the instructions for that?

Did you install software for the printer?  If so, which?

Also, when installing the device with a USB connection, its important that you not connect the printer until prompted to do so by the installer.  Otherwise, Windows will try to install it for you using a generic driver that might not be compatible or fully functional.  

The behavior you're describing sounds like a software issue.  I would suggest starting over.

Unplug the USB cable from your system. Open Settings and remove the printer from your computer.  Important  restart your machine.   Now run the set up utility again and do not connect the printer until prompted to do so.

Thank you, I downloaded all from the Canon site: [Windows 64bit] UFRII LT Printer Driver V31.05 , [Windows 64bit] imageCLASS MF3010/ MF3010 VP MFDrivers (UFR II / ScanGear), and [Windows 32bit & 64bit] Tool Box Ver.4.9.1.1.mf18

but do not have any other "software".  The printer did in fact work to print about a 7 page document 2 weeks ago. 

If I follow the above instructions will the downloadable items suffice or is there something else I am missing?  Thank you for your advice!

The 3 installer named above should be all you need. If you follow the instructions, all should work.

Ok - anything else to try?  I tried the above process three times - the scanner works to scan to a file, but printer still just rolls blank paper out, doesn't even hesitate like it is "thinking" of printing ink onto the paper.  I am at a loss.
