MB2700 printer Error 5207

MB2700 printer Error 5207. Printed fine in the morning then tried to print an hour later and got this error. Have tried all the suggested troubleshooting, cannot spot any paper jam. Have reset the computer and error remains. It will occasionally spit out a piece of paper with a slight crease about one third down, but then nothing. Been trying to fix it for a couple of days now without luck. What is error 5207?

The 5207 error would point to a jam in the printer or a problem with the hardware. In this situation, you can try using the steps in the link HERE to clean the printer's encoder strip. While cleaning the encoder strip, you can check the inside left and right for any obstructions and you can check if all the tanks look like they are seated properly over on the right hand side. 

If cleaning the encoder does not resolve the issue or if you do not see any obstructions that can be removed, it looks like the printer needs service. You can log into you MyCanon account to check for any available service options or contact support at 1-800-652-2666.
