MAXIFY GX4020 - fails to install firmware update

My GX4020 firmware version is 2.030. Attempts to install firmware version 3.010 ends with a "Failure to update" message. I have encountered no other problems with this printer. What do I need to do to install the firmware update?

Hello,

If the printer is running into problems updating the firmware, it will usually point to a problem with the printer connecting to our site and downloading the file. In this situation, you can try power cycling the router that the printer is connected to. Once the network is back up, you can try updating the firmware again. If it still fails, you can try improving the signal strength by moving the printer to another location.

Make sure you're updating with the correct region-specific firmware. Also, try resetting the printer to factory settings first, then update via USB instead of Wi-Fi it worked for me.
