LBP664Cdw Prints only from Multipurpose tray

BDFCO

My companies network went down and now my printer will only print through the Multipurpose tray.  What are my options in fixing this problem?  Restarted computer, reconnected printer, and have looked at my paper/tray options when I go to print.

It is a LBP664Cdw Printer.

Greetings,

A temporary network outage could keep you from printing, but wouldn't change the paper handling settings on the device.  If the printer is working, its unlikely there is a defect or failure causing this behavior.  Its going to be a driver or printer settings.

Places to check:

Webserver of printer

Printer properties

Software or application you are printing from

You may have unintentionally changed or created  this setting in the default profile or added a new one without realizing it.

You'll need to review these items to find the cause.

Hi, BDFCO,

In addition to Shadowsports' recommendations, your computer may have had system updates pending, that eventually were installed after computers came back up from the power outage. System updates may affect printer installations.  If the above recommendations don't correct the paper feed issue, try removing the printer from the list of printers, restarting the computer, and then reinstalling the printer from the latest drivers.

Special Note for Mac users: if your computer is on Mac OS 10.15 Catalina, and the printer is otherwise working correctly, please wait for newer drivers to post (end of November or start of December, 2019) before removing and reinstalling the printer.

If you need immediate assistance with this issue, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (652-2666), Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET (excluding holidays).
