My LBP226dw printer is less than 3 months old. However suddenly it refuses to switch on. When I connect it to power and press any or all of the buttons the screen simply does not illuminate nor the engine make any sound. It is as if it were a brick.
Also for some reason the cartridge has become impossible to insert. It is as though some clip or physical setting has become toggled and now the cartridge simply won't insert. I have no idea why this would be the case or what the fix is. I've previously had no issue inserting the cartridge. Both of these issues manifested at exactly the same time.
I have a brick which cannot receive a cartridge. This is not good.

Hello,
The issue that you are describing would point to a problem with the hardware and the printer would need service. You can try unplugging the power cord from the wall and the back of the printer. After that, you can press the power button 10 times while the printer is unplugged. Once the power button has been pressed 10 times, you can plug the printer back in and turn it back on.
If you continue to have issues, I suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist. You can also check your service options by logging into your MyCanon account.
