Issues with double sided printing options

When a user prints to the offices Canon printer it prints double sided every time. The user is using a MAC OS device and through research and troubleshooting there is no option present to disable double sided printing. Is there any assistance or documentation that can be provided to disable this option? It prints double sided regardless of the document type or the application she prints from.
