Issue with Scan to Email (Outlook SMTP) on MF642CDW

Has anyone successfully set up the "Scan to Email" feature using an outlook SMTP? I'm currently using a MF642CDW Cannon printer with an Outlook Office365 server.

 

I setup Remote UI Access PIN, accessed http://PRINTER-IPaddress/sendsupport_login.html,and entered my outlook email address, username, password.

But "Scan to email" still does not work on the printer device.

 

If you have done this successfully, could you please explain how and in detail (screen captures will be great)?

POP, IMAP, and STMP settings - Office Support (microsoft.com)

 

Hotmail or Outlook uses the below specifically.

 

Server name: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: STARTTLS

For the following settings, should I setup the following parameters on the device or from "http://printer-IP address/sendsupport_login.html", or should I setuo on both device as well as "http://printer-IP address/sendsupport_login.html"?

If I need to setup on the device, what is the menu-submenu path to get there?

 

   Server name: smtp.office365.com
   Port: 587
   Encryption method: STARTTLS

You would enter your email settings into the remote user inteface by entering the address you posted. You can log in and enter the email server information using the steps provided in the link HERE.
