I wonder if 40% on a toner supply level is normal if you are recieving the message to prepare another toner cartridge and your printer will not print.
My black says 30% but no message there.
Is there a way to by pass the color cartridges so I can at least print my items today using only Black?
Do I really need a new Yellow toner if it says 40%?
I have used 400 pages of color printing and not one has been much more than a blip of color so I do not think I need new color cartridges yet.
Purchased new from BEST BUY ust last Nov. 2020 and do not know how much toner came with it.

Hello PbJ,
The cartridge preparation message will depend on the percentage that is set in the display settings for the printer. If it is set to auto, it will appear when the toner reaches 40 percent. You can adjust the percentage that pulls up the message using the steps in the link provided HERE.
