I am unable to resolve a false document feeder jam message on my Canon MF8580CDW


I continuously get FALSE message of document feeder jam (In fact it says original loaded) in my Canon MF8580Cdw.

I did everything that I could. Followed all the instructions as shown on the website.

There is no paper in the feeder.

Looks more like a software error but am not sure how to reset it.

Can somebody help?

If you have already tried to clean the feeder using the steps in the link HERE and are still running into the issue, it looks like something is wrong with the hardware or there is something stuck in the paper feed path. You can also try using a can of compressed air to try any blow our any dust or obstructions that can be causing the error.

If that does not resolve the issue, it would mean the printer needs service. You can log into your MyCanon account or contact support at 1-800-652-2666 to check your service options.
