How can I get my canon MF742Cdw to come out of sleep mode automatically when it receives a print job. Currently I have to switch it on manually which is very inconvenient.

Hmm...my 743 wakes up when a print job is sent. I can't think of a specific option to enable waking up (but there might be something in the menu).
In a pinch, a factory default of the unit can be tried. Lastly, a call to Canon Customer Service can be made to see if the rep can locate something. 🤔

Hi Paul11,
Please see my replies in this topic. It's a different model printer but the solution may still apply.
