Looking to buy the
Canon imageCLASS MF642Cdw Wireless Color All-In-One Laser Printer

unfortuallty i cant see which additional paper tray can be installed. It doesnt state the model # in the manual... so i need professional help.

i got the
Canon Lasers AF-1 Optional Paper Cassette Printer Feeder, White sitting here and i wonder if i can install that on the
MF642Cdw

As best as I can tell, this model doesn't support additional paper trays. If you look at the MF642cdw specs, it states:

PAPER CAPACITY (LETTER, 20 LB. BOND):
250 Sheets

PAPER SOURCES (LETTER, 20 LB. BOND):
250-sheet Paper Cassette, 1-sheet Stack Bypass

Contrast this with the LBP236dw specs:

PAPER CAPACITY (LETTER, 20 LB. BOND):
Standard: 350 Sheets
Maximum: 900 Sheets

PAPER SOURCES (LETTER, 20 LB. BOND):
Standard: 250-sheet Paper Cassette, 100-sheet Multipurpose Tray
Optional: 550-sheet Paper Cassette (Cassette Unit-AH1)

The lack of an "Optional" entry for paper sources, and no differentiation of standard/maximum in capacity suggests that the MF642cdw does not have expandable paper capacity.
