I was running Windows 8.1 and had a Canon MX850. Everything was running fine.
I upgraded to Windows 10 and the MX850 would print ok but would not find the PC when clicking the scan button on the printer. Since the printer is 7 years old I decided to buy a new printer and opted for the above device (MB5320).
The instructions to make scanning work are atrocious. I had to work it out on my own. I managed to scan from the PC somehow although I'm not sure I could do it again.
When I try to scan from the panel on the printer I get the above error:
You do not have the required privileges to access the specified folder.
Code:9,244,3.
I do not know what folder the printer is trying to write to so I gave my login full control of the entire C: drive.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am also getting the same message. I can only scan by opening the "My Image Garden" then selecting the "scan" button from there. I cannot scan directly from the printer/scanner by pushing SCAN and selecting color/black button.
I have a Model MX922 running on Windows 10. On another thread on the Community" I tried changing all the permissions and so far, following your instructions exactly, even to changing the "Replace all child ......." nothing has solved he problem. I also disable the Windows One Drive so it does not open automatically when I boot my computer and that also did not work.
Because the Canon IJ Scan Utility looks like it is for a different model printer than mine I did not try to download or tweak the driver setting yet.
I did try the tweak in the utility.exe file properties - still no luck.
Everywhere I have looked it appears I have "permissions" but I still get the same error code when I try to scan from the control panel on the printer/scanner.
Anything else you can think of?
Thanks in advance.

Hello.
The IJ Scan Utility is included with the MX922 drivers. Try scanning from this program instead to see if you can scan successfully.
