When I print pdfs inside of Safari or Preview on MacOS Catalina, some fonts (italics) print as empty squares.
I tried reinstalling the OS and Canon print drivers and the problem does not go away.
If I switch to Airplay print drivers then things print okay.
Is there a way to get Canon print drivers to work properly on a Mac?
Thanks,
Brian

I was having the sameissue with the latest driver 10194-04 with macOS Catalina 10.15.7 when opening the PDF with Preview.
When I opened it with Adode Acrobat, it printed well. Go figure!

Has anybody figured this out, mine is doing the same thing. Imac Version 11.1 Big Sur, Cannon MFC731 prints fine out of Adobe Acrobat, but only a small square at top of page if printing a web page image.
Thanks for any ideas

I have exactly the same issue with MF443dw and mf645cx printing aip articles using preview. A workaround is to open the pdf using adobe reader and print there. However, it is very annoying. I wonder if you solve this issue?

Yes, I finally got in touch with the driver development group contact. They fixed the print drivers a while back. Try installing the latest print drivers.
