We have a month old Canon MF 260 and after printing one page an error message comes up saying there is a paper jam. However, there is not paper jam anywhere. The only way around this is to turn off the printer, turn it back on, and print page 2. Can someone help me?
Thank you!
Susan

Hello Stephen,
Thank you for your response.
Model: Canon Image CLASS MF 260
Computer Operating System: Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6
Connection: wifi
The printer was working flawlessly until a couple days ago. Now it prints one page of a multi-page document and then an error message comes up saying there is a paper jam. In following the steps on the display panel I open the printer, look for jam, but there is none.
It does not matter what computer we print from.
I have tried unplugging the printer and waiting 10 minutes. I have tried deleting the printer and reinstalling the driver.
Nothing seems to work. I have a PIXMA Pro-100 and have had other Canon printers over the years so I am somewht familiar with their working.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Susan,
Please click HERE or the link below to check for paper jam or any debris inside every area of the printer:
https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-3281-zz-SS-enUS/contents/SS260_troubleshooting_0327.html#1114_h1_01
Please check for any paper jam or debris inside of the machine. This will include removing the toner cartridge and drum. Please click HERE or below to view instructions in the manual:
https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-3281-zz-SS-enUS/contents/SS260_troubleshooting_0329.html#1116_h1_01
If paper jams repeatedly:
Tap the paper stack on a flat surface to even the edges of the paper before loading it into the machine.
Check that the paper is appropriate for the machine.
Check that no jammed paper fragments remain in the machine.
If you use paper with a coarse surface, set <Paper Type> to <Bond 1 (16 lb Bond-27 lb Bond)> or <Bond 2 (28 lb Bond-60 lb Cover)>.
