I can print wirelessly from my laptop to the printer, so I know there is a wireless connection working. But I have never been able to scan from the printer direct from the printer to the laptop. I have to use the intermediate step of scanning to a thumb drive. Whenever I try this I get the message "Connect the Computer." Is it simply not possible to scan directly even though I can print? Or is there a step I'm missing? Again, I can PRINT wirelessly so I know the connection exists.
This is a simple wireless home connection with a Windows 10 laptop.
