Canon MB2720 "installation failure MP drivers could not be installed" help!! fix or refund


So I bought the printer and attempted to install the driver.

All was fine until I got to the stage after installation, which it says "Processing"

After a while of Processing, it will turn into "installation failure MP drivers could not be installed"

I tried downloading the newest mp driver, reinstalling, uninstalling anything+regedit keys with the word Canon, turned off my Malware, and still stuck.

On Reddit some says it's because of Windows 11's automated installer.

Regardless I seemed to have tried everything and nothing is working.

Please help, as now I can't use the scanner, which defeats the entire purpose of me buying the device

If I can't get it to work, I will need to refund, and this is really not something I want to do

You'll want to try to use the install wizard that's mentioned on the card from the box. Here is a shortcut directly to the wizard for your printer: - it will guide you through the process of installing the necessary Canon software and drivers and uninstall any pre-existing drivers for this unit that are on your system (such as ones that Microsoft may have automatically installed). 


If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact support for one-on-one help. To do that, simply register the printer at and attach the printer to your Canon Account. Once you've done that, you'll see your support entitlements. Because you're within your warranty period, you're eligible for free phone support - so then you'll be able to give our team a call.
