Can MF620C Series cannot sense paper

My MF620C Series keep asking to place paper in the upper feeder but does not sense it. How can I solve it? It is basically unresponsive. Already tried siwtching off and on, cleaning the feeder but nothing. When I putpaper in the feeder there is a click but the menu does not change.

2. Does this happen when you are trying to copy or is it when you try a scan?
