I have a PIXMA MX7600 that has performed brilliantly for many years up until today! The printer has had little or no use for 8 weeks while I have been away. A very distinct black strip is appearing down the back side of the printed page from top to bottom. Looking into where the paper is ejected from the printer, the third roller from the right hand side is obviously glistening with ink. I can see that each of these final rollers runs against a white roller that appears to be spring mounted. The white roller that aligns with the black stripe is black with glistening ink.
I have never installed other than original Canon cartridges in the machine.
I used the Maintenance Menu to perfrom a 'roller clean' and a 'bottom plate clean'. After these actions the strip was worse, a glistening solid black line that soaked through the paper.
Can anyone offer any solutions or suggestions to overcome the problem?
