PIXMA TR150 Grabs Multiple Sheets When Printing

troyloli

When printing, the TR150 feeds multiple sheets of paper when printing.  I've tried cleaning the rollers, doing the deep cleaning, and it still grabs multiple sheets.  Is anyone else having this issue?  Were you able to fix it and how?

Thanks

Hi Troy! Thanks for contributing to the Canon Community. I understand that your Canon PIXMA TR150 is feeding multiple sheets of paper at a time causing a paper jam.

If you haven’t done so, please review the manual’s instruction for loading paper. The Paper Support and Paper Guide mentioned in steps 3, 4, and 5 need to be set appropriately. The Paper Thickness Lever mentioned in step 6 needs to be set to the right. Here is a link that you can use to open the manual’s instructions for loading paper:

https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR150%20series/EN/UG/ug-107.html

I see that you have already tried the Roller Cleaning option that is available through the printer’s maintenance menu. That is the maintenance procedure that should be done when you are experiencing issues with the paper feed (including paper jams and misfeeds). We do recommend performing that procedure three times.

The Deep Cleaning and other maintenance options will not help. They are intended for other problems. For example, the Deep Cleaning is performed when the ink stops appearing on the page.

If you have only done one Roller Cleaning, please try doing two more. If the paper is still misfeeding (feeding more than one sheet) after the third Roller Cleaning, we recommend manually cleaning the roller inside the paper tray. There is a paragraph at the end of the Roller Cleaning instructions that describes how to manually clean the roller (after step 10). To open and view the manual’s Roller Cleanings instruction, please visit the following link:

 https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR150%20series/EN/UG/ug-143.html

From there, you can go to step 10 to see the information about the manual cleaning.

I also recommend making sure that you are loading paper that is supported by the printer. If you are loading regular copy paper, you should be fine. If you are trying to load another type of paper, please check if it is listed in the printer’s recommended media. Here is that link:

https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR150%20series/EN/UG/ug-189.html

The following page of the manual has information about paper that is not recommended for the printer:

If the three roller cleanings, manual roller cleaning, and other instructions mentioned in this post do not help, the printer requires service. We do not have repair options for the printer, but you do have the option of paying for a repair at any printer repair shop in your area (if the printer is no longer in warranty).

The printer’s manufacturer warranty is good for one year from the date of purchase. If the printer is in warranty or you have a warranty extension, and you have a receipt that shows the purchase details, we can setup a warranty exchange for a new printer. Please create a My Canon account and register the printer so you can contact support via chat or phone. If you have already registered your printer, you can sign into your account to check your support options.

Please use the following link to create or open your account:

https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/us/signin

After you create your account and register the printer, you can click on SERVICE & SUPPORT (in the left column) on the left side of your My Canon Account page. Then, click on the red box that says GET SERVICE & SUPPORT (to the right of your printer) to find information on the phone and chat support options.

If the printer is no longer in warranty and you prefer not to pay for a repair, we can offer you a discount and free shipping on a new printer through our Canon Upgrade Program. If you are interested in that, please call (866) 443-8002 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. (Eastern Time), Monday through Friday to speak with one of our sales agents who would be happy to help you.

I hope this information helps. Thanks again.
