Can't print on Selphy CP760 using an SD card

My new Dell laptop is not compatible with my Selphy CP760 printer, so I've been copying photos from Icloud and emails etc onto an SD card, however recently I've had problems doing this, the printer shows a dark screen with a ? mark, any ideas why it's not reading the card.

That frequently means that the image type is not recognized by the software. Sometimes that occurs when iPhone photos are involved.
