Greetings,
I am wondering where the ink goes during a deep cleaning? The printer says deep cleaning uses a lot of ink, so it must not go back in the ink cartridge, and it does not print anything. So where does it go and what happens when it fills up?
Thanks

It goes into a device called the waste ink pads, waste ink reservoir or similar name depending on the printer.
Depending on the printer the pads are user serviceable or can only be serviced by Canon becasue of major disassembly required.
Google waste ink pads for your printer model.
