LIDE 210
MacOS Big Sur (version 11.5.1)
ICA Driver ver 4.1.4a
I just updated Big Sur to 11.5, and am now unable to access my scanner. It worked fine on an earlier Big Sur version (11.0.1). Atttempting to access it gives the error "You do not have permission to open the application CAnon IJScanner2". I've uninstalled and reinstalled all Canon software, and have even changed permissions on the IJScanner2 app, but nothing helps. Anyone have any ideas? I use this scanner a lot and work is backing up...

I finally got it working. The last time I did this:
1) Delete the scanner from Preferences
2) Delete Canon utilities
3) Remove any Canon-related files from /Library/Printers/Canon
4) Remove any Canon-related files from /Library/Image Capture/Devices
5) Reboot
6) Install the misd-mac-ijscanner2-4_1_4-ea21_3 driver
It's possible that along the way I deleted something else that made this work, I honestly don't know. Hope it helps you!

I have the same problem, it only works with BigSur up to version 11.4
Did you manage to solve the problem?
