When ordering, is there a way to ask Canon to use UPS or USPS instead of Fedex? Fedex sucks, they are always late . And if package arrives early at the depot, they will wait for the expected delivery date and will let the package sit at the depot for a few days. Their website does not work, even their mobile app does not work. Also Canon restricts delivery instructions, so there is no way to ask Fedex to deliver the package at an alternate address like my work place.
I ordered a lens and it was supposed to be delivered last Sunday (Dec 1). For some reason, they did not deliver even though the package has already reached the main depot. Then they did not deliver on Monday... now it's Tuesday that I am at work, they decide to deliver it, of course no one is at home... now I couldn't even ask them to deliver at my work place. They left a note saying they will attempt delivery tomorrow and no one will be home again.
PLease Canon stop using Fedex.

Hmmm. Remember we are starting into the holiday season where all carriers will be swamped. I did all mine online shopping two weeks ago and got good delivery time with UPS and snail mail.

I have no problem with UPS and USPS, it's always with Fedex, since the beginning

That's odd, in the places I have lived FedEx was always the best. But I'm sure a lot depends on your local facility. I would guess you could request a different carrier when ordering, but I doubt they would change it.

I did speak to Canon about it. Unfortunately, they said it is the courier they use and can't be changed.
