So on November 22, I ordered a Canon Pixma Pro-200S from the Canon website. It came with free paper. Sounds great. The paper gets delivered on Friday. I go “maybe it’s just split up” into 2 deliveries. Whatever.
Check tracking today. Printer and paper have the same tracking number. Fedex shows only one package.
Canon’s support phone number directs me to their website. The website tells me to call the number.
FedEx’s website has a “lost package” thing, and all it does is take me to a page saying “did you find it YES (in a big orange box) and no (in small font). Clicking no takes me back to the tracking page, saying it was delivered. It says it was only one package. And it was clearly too small to have both the paper and the printer. 16x13x5. 1.9 lbs. I have looked around the website and not really seen anything helpful. The "free paper" has cost me $455 dollars. I'm trying this because I am not really sure what else to do right now and the sooner I try to get it cleared up, the better for me, I think.

What is 16x13x5 1.9 lbs.? The paper size/package description? This would not likely be packaged with a new printer. May not even ship from the same place. Something is screwy here.

I did that and that was a fully automated phone tree with no option to speak to a human. It directed me to the website. Which directed me back to that number.
I have gotten it resolved.
I ended up calling Tech Support for Printers. Whatever that phone number is on the Canon website. A confused, but over-the-top helpful guy was able to help me. After confirming in like 9 different ways that I was who I said I was, and that the printer was not delivered, he put me on hold and managed to get ahold of someone at Fedex who found the printer in their warehouse like 30 miles away from me. He got them to send me a new email with shipping information for the printer, the printer got a new tracking number. Originally it had the same tracking number as the paper, and thus showed up as delivered, since the paper was delivered. The printer was delivered the day after I made the call. That guy was great.

The package that was delivered was 16x15x1.9. It was the free sample paper. I did get this resolved, replied to someone else up thread. The paper and the printer had the same shipping number so I think after the paper was delivered, in the system the printer was officially marked as "delivered" too. I called Canon Tech Support who looked at the photo of the "Delivered" printer and went "oh yeah, there's no way that is your printer." And then went on a quest to figure out what happened. Great guy.
