Does anyone know of a better printer test pattern that does a thorough nozzle check AND doesn't waste so much ink?
The existing test pattern for the printer seems to uselessly waste a ton of ink. Isn't there a more efficient and economical test pattern that tests the print head?

The better question is; how can the excessive cleaning cycles be reduced or stopped?
I get the purpoose, but the number and lengthe are excessive, especially if you print often.

I have read that leaving the printer on all the time would help save ink, because the printer wouldn't have to execute a startup/priming cycle when first turned on. Seems to make sense, but I'm not sure if it's true.
