settings for oudoor sports bright sunlight

track and field all day events mostly sunny until sun goes down. using a canon 3ti  55-250mm lens. what is a good starting point for the best pictures?

Use "Av" mode with the widest aperture setting for your lens.  Use ISO-100, as long as your shutter speed is 1/250 or faster.  Try to keep the ISO as low as possible, and the shutter speed as high as possible.
