I wrote a web page about software and image processing using Canon DPP and free software on macOS and on Debian Linux. I hope some of my examples might be useful to others.
The Northern Cardinal is a very bright red color. In bright sunlight, the red channel nearly always clips with a result of loss of feather detail because it is so saturated.
