at the time i bought the camera everything was working fine but since then the display preview is very blurry and no matter what mode i set it on the ring if A or M or any other mode when i press half the shutter button it's not automatic focusing.  and i tried to play with the focus settings. in the A mode you can't change the focus mode.

also, i can't rotate with my hand the lens to change the zoom.  and there are no buttons on the lens that i can switch between automatic and manual.

a video clip i recorded of what i have tried so far. i tried to focus close objects far objects view outside inside.

played with the settings.

@LeeP that lens is not “Zoom by wire”. I was just at the camera store earlier looking at that the lens mounted to the EOS R10. It allowed me to zoom in and out while the camera was off. Now the RF-S 14-30mm F/4-6.3 IS STM lens is zoom by wire. It doesn’t have focal length markings on the lens itself. Instead the camera’s LCD screen displays the focal length. I also saw this lens mounted to the EOS R50V. The ring on that lens does move but if the lens doesn’t have power ie the metering timer has timed out. The focal length doesn’t change until the lens has power again. Just like focus by wire lenses. No power no MF adjustment available.
