My mac book pro (OSX yosemite , version 10.10.5 ), mac is showing NO CAMERA WAS FOUND when i connect my canon . i am using EOS 1100D.i installed all necessary softwarers provided by CANON
pls help

Try using Image Capture directly. Plug the USB cable in and then turn on the camera.

thank you. but when i connect camera CAMERA WINDOW is opening automatically and giving the same message. thst no camera is connected.

Then don't use camera window. Close it and then open Image Capture.

Don't use the Canon utilities. Image capture is found in the apps folder. It is an Apple program.
