photos won't load to PC from card because the photos are CTG format.

I took about 60 photos in the past two days. I could see them in the preview on my EOS 60D camera. Attempted to load the photos today to my PC and I can't because the photos are in CTG format.  I'm using a 16GB SD Ultra card. I have no idea how the photos got in that format.  Help.

Are you sure you don't have JPEG files on the card?
