measurement of different Canon body LCD screen

Why I am asking ?

I am selling one of my old cameras - EOS M. I discovered scratches on the protective film of the rear LCD screen.

I have every other cameras protected by either film or glass protectors. And now I've got a 7D2, I wanna find one that will fit but cannot trust the retailers. Some items are described to fit 550D 600D 60D 7D and 5D2 and 5D3. Obviously, they are not of the same design and they vary in sizes. 3"and 3.2".

I know that 7D2 has a 3 inches LCD but how different it is from the 60D or 7D. Do they have different measurements ?

I used to have a 600D (T3i) 60D and 7D and they are all sold. So I cannot take measurement of those models.

Please share your information.

Appreciated.

I suppose we could whip out our rulers and do some measurements for you. But I believe the specs for every EOF camera ever made are available on the Canon Web site. I frankly think you'd be better off going with Canon's specs than trusting us to get it right.

Canon USA website showed the measurement of 70D but not the 7D2. Will keep digging. thanks

Canon USA website showed the measurement of 70D but not the 7D2. Yes, I have a ruler and I will check it out for this one. It's strange that Canon website don't provide details for every model. No details for 7D and 7D2 as compaired to 70D.

I found the answer :

The formula in @expop's answer above may have been (mostly) true in 2015, but most DSLR screens are wider and shorter than a 3:2 aspect ratio now to better display images that are 16:9 (typical of HD video).

ProMaster no longer offers a screen protector for the 7D (Mk I), which has a screen dimension of ~64 mm W x ~49 mm H (which is about a 3:2 aspect ratio).  However, the (discontinued but still available from some resellers) "Basic" 2.7" Screen Shield model #4205 has dimensions 59 mm W x 45 mm H, so it will fit on the 7D1 screen (but not cover all of it).
