i want a canera that has good video mode and auto-focus on moving subjects like pets for my YouTube channel. i currently have a canon eos 4000D and you have to manually focus it in video mode. i also want a camera that takes good landscape photos. my budget is $500. thank you so much

ginger1,
You can get a Used R50 for about the $500 you have in your budget, and if you can swing the $125 for an adapter, you can use your existing lenses.
A quick rule of thumb... go for the fastest processor you can afford.

What lenses do you have?
An R100 is well within your budget, but it would be better to stretch and get the R50.

i have the 18-55 lens that came with the camera and a 55-250 efs image stabilizer lens
thank you! ill look into those! my friend recommended a r7 mark ii but i wanted to see what other people's thoughts were.

ginger1,
Right now, you can get a used R100 with an RF 18-45 and an RF 55-210 lenses through Canon for $599.
Not a bad deal, I think.

ok i think im going to get the r100. thank you so much for your help!

The R100 is good for a budget model but it may miss out some features you need.It has a fixed screen that cant be rotated for selfie video. Will that be an issue? It's also not a touch screen.
If you want those features the next model up -the R50- has those.

yeah i was talking to my friend and he said that if i were to get a mirrorless, get the r50 but another option is the 80d since i have a dslr and i wouldn't have to buy new lenses so im going to research about them for a few weeks before i make my decision. tysm!
