Anyone else have a problem with their integral flash on 7D after firmware update?

I downloaded the big 7D firmware update and now my integral (or pop-up) flash will not open.  I tried resetting to default, but it didn't do anything.  Strangely enough, when in the function menu, I cannot change any flash settings...it says my exter...

Does Canon have any authorized day classes on how to use the T3i? Where can I attend one?

is there any other issues other than lens to camera communication which can cause the err01 code to appearas I have cleaned the contacts and it works fine for a while then plays up and locks me out. The other lens there is no problem

One picture, two images with different exposures
