I have a Canon 1100D.I would like to know if 'focus lock' is possible in all modes of exposure of this model, whether in Basic zone or in Creative zone.

Sometimes the Quick screen goes dark before I'm done reading the settings. Is there a way to make it stay on longer as you can do for the Playback screen?
